Dr. Fisseha Habtemariam, Founder and CEO of American Impact Investment Holding (AIIH), successfully met today with H.E. Dr. Olavo Avelino Garcia Correia, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Business Development, and Minister of Digital Economy of Cabo Verde. The meeting centered on AIIH’s ambitious Impact Africa Economic Ecosystem (IAEE) initiative, aimed at addressing critical socio-economic challenges across the African continent.
Dr. Habtemariam extended his gratitude to Vice Prime Minister Correia for his valuable time despite his demanding schedule, expressing strong anticipation for future collaboration. During the meeting, Dr. Habtemariam detailed AIIH’s comprehensive vision for the next decade: to bring the IAEE to life as a fully integrated, multi-sector, Pan-African economic system. The IAEE initiative is designed to create 250 million jobs, establish 50,000 Economically Sustainable Communities (ESC) across Africa, and contribute to 15 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A core component of AIIH’s strategy is its zTriangle.io technology platform, an AI-powered solution built for global social impact, connecting communities with essential capital and market opportunities.
The establishment of AIIH is rooted in the conviction that Africa’s complex challenges necessitate comprehensive, integrated solutions, rather than fragmented efforts or micro-investments. The IAEE envisions a synergistic ecosystem where farmers flourish, women lead in agricultural product processing, youth engage in cutting-edge technology projects, and urban communities benefit from essential services.
To realize this ambitious vision, the IAEE is actively raising $20 billion in capital over the next five years through debt financing via convertible notes, leveraging its unique Pooled Impact Investment Capital Account (PIICA) model. AIIH’s innovative capital mobilization strategies include the African Billionaires Council (ABC), which unites African billionaires to collectively address continental challenges, and the Global One Percent Pledge Alliance (GO-PPP-A). The GO-PPP-A invites corporations, institutions, funds, and individuals to commit to lending at least one percent of their net profits to PIICA for a minimum of three years, with investments backed by government guarantees.
Investors and sponsors participating in the IAEE platform are offered a 5% annual interest, a 25% discount upon converting to equity, and preferential business opportunities. IAEE operates as an innovative startup under a private LLC structure, dedicated to developing a collaborative impact investment platform.
During the meeting, AIIH formally submitted a request for Cabo Verde to embrace and champion its initiative through a formalized Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU proposes Cabo Verde’s agreement to:
1. Embrace and champion the IAEE, zTriangle.io, 250×2040 Global Movement, ABC, and the GO-PPP-A initiatives.
2. Join in inviting and uniting African billionaires to establish the African Billionaires Council (ABC).
3. Facilitate the successful entry and operation of the IAEE within Cabo Verde.
4. Host the Pooled Impact Investment Capital Account (PIICA) at its national bank.
5. Promote the initiative within the country.
6. Collaborate in other mutually beneficial initiatives.
H.E. Dr. Olavo Avelino Garcia Correia expressed his sincere appreciation for AIIH’s initiatives, recognizing their potential to address Africa’s pressing issues of poverty and unemployment, contribute to 15 of the 17 UN SDGs, and effectively leverage technology. He conveyed his country’s appreciation and promised a serious review of the proposal, expressing interest in a partnership. Both parties agreed to follow up as soon as possible to advance discussions.
