Prince Owoediinyene Essien is a visionary leader and global catalyst for positive change and development, recognized for his unwavering commitment to driving transformative growth, innovation, and strategic collaboration across diverse industries and geographies. In his capacity as Founding Senior Vice President (FSVP) of Networking, Capital Mobilization and Nigeria Lead, he plays a critical role in advancing the Global Billionaires Alliance (GBA) and the African Billionaires Council (ABC), while spearheading efforts to mobilize capital and stakeholder engagement within Nigeria in support of the Impact Africa Economic Ecosystem (IAEE). His work focuses on building high-level partnerships, fostering collaboration among global investors, governments, and industry leaders, and positioning Nigeria as a strategic hub within Africa’s economic transformation agenda.
Prince Essien holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Port Harcourt and has further strengthened his professional foundation through the Shell Industrial Training Program on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). His international experience spans global business development initiatives across Africa and beyond, where he has successfully driven growth and innovation in multiple industries. He has demonstrated exceptional strategic leadership capabilities, managing high-profile projects and teams in complex and dynamic environments while consistently delivering impactful results. Through his extensive international networking efforts, he has built strong relationships with global investors, policymakers, and business leaders, facilitating cross-border collaborations and knowledge exchange.
His professional career reflects a strong blend of executive leadership, business development, and operational expertise. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Prime Transmission International Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hendai Group. He previously held the role of Executive Director for Africa Operations at Hendai Investment Limited, where he contributed significantly to the company’s expansion and strategic direction. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Business Development at Hendai Investment Limited, General Manager of Sales at Hisense Homes Manufacturer, and Assistant General Manager of Marketing for West Africa at CHIGO Air Conditioning Company. He also gained valuable operational experience as a Logistic Officer at Nissco Oilfield Engineers and as an Administrative Manager at SBT JUUL Africa.
Among his notable achievements, Prince Essien successfully hosted the inaugural Hendai City Investment Summit in 2021, a landmark event that attracted global investors and was held in collaboration with the Government of Akwa Ibom State. The summit was chaired by the former Head of State of Nigeria, General Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, underscoring its significance and impact. He is also a co-founder of Hendai Investment Limited, Prime Transmission International Ltd, and Prime Transmission Network, demonstrating his strong entrepreneurial drive and commitment to building sustainable enterprises. In 2023, he further demonstrated his global perspective by presenting a paper at the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa on the state of peace and security in Africa and the factors influencing stability across the continent.
